2009 Events

Following a thorough professional survey, the Friends of Friendless Churches agreed to all the architect's recommendations, and spent the £50,000 required to carry out major internal and external repairs. The two harmoniums were also restored. The works commenced in April 2009 and were completed in mid-July. The church looks wonderful! Caldecote Church Friends will continue to raise the money necessary to complete smaller repairs and to purchase overflow chairs.
We had a stand at the Ashwell Show on August Bank Holiday, which attracted much interest. We also participated in the Civic Trust's Heritage Open Days on September 12th and 13th, and welcomed over 200 visitors.

2010 Events

CALDECOTE FUCHSIA FESTIVAL
Once again, by popular demand, this event will be held in 2010 on
Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th July
12.00 to 17.00 both days

The church will be filled with a stunning display of fuchsias of all types. There will be refreshments and a stall with fuchsia plants for sale. The festival is organised jointly by Caldecote Church Friends and the Beds. and Herts. Fuchsia Society. Admission is free but donations towards further restoration are welcomed.
